Newt Gingrich open to presidential run.
I've tried before to book Newt Gingrich as a guest. Maybe he'll be more willing now? Or maybe not. Ya know ... I always liked Newt ... in a way. Don't like his policies. But I like his manner. He was a no-holds-barred, play with the hand you're dealt kinda guy. I liked that. The fact that he wanted to kill Big Bird and that he was after Clinton for having an affair - meanwhile Newt was divorcing his cancer-stricken wife while she was on her death bed ... yeah ... that part I didn't like.

“I thought we in the media were supposed to be watchdogs, not lapdogs,” said NABJ Vice President-Print Bryan Monroe, assistant vice president-news at Knight Ridder. “I thought we had an administration headed by a president who took an oath to uphold the First Amendment, not try to rent it.”

I think we'll talk about this Monday morning. What a crock. And I'm sure some Bushie will call and try to explain why this is ALL OKAY (but ah, if that evil Bill Clinton had done it - that'd be another matter).
